BusyBusy helps your team stay compliant by alerting employees and managers when certifications are expiring, expired, or missing. Notifications are delivered through mobile reminders, dashboard cards, and real-time pop-ups when clocking in or scheduling.
Employee Notifications (Mobile)
Employees always receive reminders for their own certifications, even if they don’t have permission to manage them.
Notifications are sent:
30 days before expiration
10 days before expiration
On the day of expiration
From the notification, employees can tap to:
View certification details.
Upload renewal documentation if the certification is set to Employee Managed.
Manager Notifications (Web)
Managers and admins can monitor expiring and expired certifications from:
Certification Dashboard Cards
Show counts of Expiring and Expired certifications.
Clicking a card opens the Certification Status page filtered to the right records.
Certification Status Page
Filter by employee, certification type, or expiration window.
See issue/renewal dates, expiration dates, and uploaded documentation.
Alerts When Clocking In
BusyBusy checks certifications at the moment of clock-in:
If an employee selects equipment that requires a certification they don’t have, a pop-up alert appears showing which certifications are missing or expired.
Employees are blocked from clocking into that equipment until their record is updated.
If the employee has permission to manage their own certifications, they can upload the missing documentation immediately from the pop-up.

Alerts When Scheduling
When assigning employees to equipment through the scheduling calendar:
A warning icon appears if a selected employee does not have the required certifications.
If the warning is ignored, a second pop-up alert will list the missing certifications before the schedule is created.
Managers can choose to continue with scheduling (e.g., for a new hire whose documentation hasn’t been uploaded yet), but the system ensures you’re always aware of the gap.
Why These Matter
Employees: Never get caught off guard when certifications are due.
Managers: Can schedule and assign equipment with confidence.
Companies: Reduce liability, avoid OSHA fines, and keep job sites safe.

Best Practices
Employees can always access their certifications from the mobile app under More → Certifications, making it easy to show proof of compliance on site. |
