Sometimes you need to see an employee's hours for a specific stretch of time, like a custom pay period, or you need to check the time card of someone who no longer works for you. The Activity Reports By Employee report lets you do both, and it still includes archived employees so your historical records stay accessible.
From the left navigation menu, select Activity Reports, then By Employee.
On the right side of the screen, click the second drop-down menu and select Custom.
Enter the date range you want to see, then click Apply.
Click the employee's name from the list.
At the top of the screen, use the drop-down menus to change the view: select Time Entries, then By Date Range, then By Pay Period, depending on how you want the hours broken down.
Note: Archived employees still appear in Activity Reports, so you don't need to unarchive someone just to look up their past hours.
Quick Method: Filter Time Cards by Archived Status
If you just need to see an archived employee's timesheets without pulling a full report, you can filter directly in Time Cards:
From the left navigation menu, go to Time Cards > Entries.
On the right side, locate the Filter panel.
Click where it says Active and change it to Archived.
Click the blue Apply button.
You'll now see timesheets for archived employees instead of active ones.
