BusyBusy Event Logs is a Pro feature and can only be accessed via the Web. This report allows you to view all employee time entry events, including clocking in and out, edits made to time entries, and from what device used. It also provides in depth details such as recorded time and date, and GPS data.
You must have the permission to Edit Time to access and view the Event Logs! Whose information you view is dependent upon who you are able to edit time for. If you don’t have permission to Edit Time, contact your Administrator. |
Accessing the Event Logs
Step One:
Login to your BusyBusy account via the web application at busybusy.io
Enter your Username and Password and select Sign In. If you forgot your username or password, select the “Forgot username or password?” link. If you have issues logging in contact your Administrator. |
Step Two:
Go to Time Cards > Event Logs located on the Left Navigation Menu
Event Logs Breakdown
Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of what you’ll see in the BusyBusy Event Logs:
Action - What event took place, i.e. clock in, clock out, edit, break start, break end, delete, and manual.
Note: Switches will appear as a clock in and clock out. You can tell it was a switch because the details will change indicating what was done during the switch. |
Performed - Indicates the date and time the action was performed.
Employee - Who the action was performed for, whose entry was affected.
Details - What action was performed.
By clicking on the details, you can review more in depth analysis of the action performed, and also Edit Entry and View Entry Logs if available.
View Entry Logs allows you to Show Details for specific events.
These can also be accessed by clicking the 3 dots next to each event under the Action tab.
Performed By - Who performed the action.
GPS - Allows you to see where the action occurred.
Note: GPS pins are not available when actions occur through the web. GPS pins are dependent on the location settings of the device and the company’s GPS settings. You can learn more about how BusyBusy uses GPS Here. |
Device - Which device performed the action.
Navigating the Event Logs
Easily navigate the Event Logs by selecting the date range at the top left.
Use the arrows next to the date range to scroll through different dates.
Use the Settings on the right hand side to Filter the Event Logs.
You can Filter by Date Range, Action, Employee and Employee Group, Position, Performed By, Project and Project Group, Cost Code and Cost Code Group, Equipment and Equipment Category, Active and Deleted.
Export the Event Logs by clicking the 3 dots in the upper right side.
Adjust the Table Columns by clicking on the 3 vertical lines in the upper right side.
Adjust the Table Rows by clicking the 3 horizontal lines in the upper right side.
