Safety Events in Resource Planning are used to plan safety activities ahead of time, but inspections and trainings are completed in BusyBusy’s Safety module.
How Safety Events Become Inspections and Trainings
When you create a safety event in Resource Planning, you select a type:
Safety Inspection
Safety Training
This determines where the event will be managed after it is requested.
Once the safety event is requested and approved:
Safety Inspections are managed in the Safety Inspections area.
Safety Trainings are managed in the Safety Trainings area.
How Information Carries Over
When a safety event is sent as a request, key details are carried into the Safety module, including:
Project.
Date of the event.
Notes entered during planning.
This helps ensure that safety managers have the context they need to assign and complete the inspection or training.
Where Work Is Completed
Resource Planning is used for planning only. Safety work is completed in the Safety module.
Inspections are completed and documented in Safety Inspections
Trainings are completed and tracked in Safety Trainings
Any records, reports, or completion details are stored in the Safety module—not in the project plan.
What Happens After Completion
After a safety event is completed:
The inspection or training record is available in the Safety module.
Completion details can be reviewed there.
The project plan continues to show the planned event, but does not store completion data.
