Safety Events are only available for customers using both Resource Planning and Safety (Inspections or Trainings). |
Before requesting a safety event:
Safety Events must be enabled in a Project Plan’s settings
A safety event must already be created on a task
The task must be part of a Task Group
Request a Safety Event
To request a safety event:
Go to Scheduling → Project Planning
Open the project plan
Locate the safety event on the timeline
Click the safety event
Select Request
Once requested, the safety event is sent based on the project plan’s Safety Event Request settings.
Where Safety Event Requests Go
Safety event requests are sent to different locations depending on how the project plan is configured.
Send to Safety
If set to Safety:
The request appears in the Safety Inspections or Safety Trainings area
Safety managers can:
Review the request
Assign it to a user
Approve or deny the request
Email Requests
If set to Email:
An email is sent with the safety event details
The inspection or training is managed outside of BusyBusy
Instantly Approve Requests
If set to Instant Approval:
The safety event is automatically approved
No review step is required
The event is ready to be completed
What Happens After a Request Is Sent
After a safety event is requested:
The event status updates (for example: Requested, Accepted, or Denied)
Approved events are assigned and managed in the Safety module
Denied events remain in the project plan and can be updated or requested again
Where Safety Events Are Completed
Safety events are not completed in Resource Planning.
Instead:
Inspections are completed in the Safety Inspections area
Trainings are completed in the Safety Training area
All completion details and records are stored in the Safety module.
