Before You Begin
Safety Events are only available for customers using both Resource Planning and Safety (Inspections or Trainings). |
Before adding a safety event:
Safety Events must be enabled in the Project Plan settings
The task must be part of a Task Group
Safety Events cannot be added to standalone tasks
You must have access to Safety Inspections and Trainings
Add a Safety Event to a Task
To add a safety event:
Go to Scheduling → Project Planning
Open the project plan
Locate a task within a Task Group
Click the three dots (⋮) on the task
Select Add Safety Event
Choose the Type:
Safety Inspection
Safety Training
Select the Date for the event
Enter any Notes (optional)
Click Create
Once created, the safety event will appear on the project timeline associated with that task.
Where Safety Events Appear
After adding a safety event:
It appears on the timeline aligned with the task
It is visible in the Safety Events row of the project plan
It can be clicked to view details or send a request
What Happens Next
After creating a safety event:
The event starts in a draft state
You can send it as a request
Once requested, it follows the selected request workflow:
Sent to Safety
Sent via email
Instantly approved
Important Things to Know
Safety Events can only be added to tasks within a Task Group
Safety Events are not available on standalone tasks
If you do not see the option to add a safety event, check that:
Safety Events are enabled in the project plan
The task is part of a Task Group
Safety Events must be requested before they are assigned or completed
