If employees have tracked time to specific jobs in BusyBusy and those hours are either missing entirely or not allocated to the correct project; there are a couple of potential reasons for this.
Mismatched Project Names: If the Project or Subproject name in BusyBusy does not identically match the Customer or Sub-Customer name in QuickBooks Online, the time entry cannot link to it. Instead, the system may route the unmapped time to your default "BusyBusy Project" or sync it with no project attached depending on your configuration.
How to Fix: Verify that all project hierarchies and names match word-for-word across both platforms. Also check your archive and verify the connected project was not archived. If there is a duplicate, it’s possible the project was manually entered in BusyBusy and also pulled from QuickBooks Online.
Missing or Mismatched Employee IDs: If an employee lacks an Employee ID in QuickBooks Online, or if their ID does not perfectly match their profile in BusyBusy, their time data will fail to sync across the integration.
How to Fix: Open your Employee management lists in both systems and ensure unique, matching IDs are assigned to every user.
Incompatible QuickBooks Tier: If you cannot find the native weekly timesheet view to verify the hours at all, your company may be on an unsupported version of QuickBooks.
How to Fix: Ensure your organization is subscribed to QuickBooks Essentials or a higher tier, which is required for the integration to display timesheets properly.
