Multi-Select Filters in Time Cards (Web)

You can now select more than one option at a time when filtering your Time Cards. Instead of picking one employee, project, or piece of equipment and running the filter over and over, you can select several at once and see them all in the same view.

This article explains how to:

  • Select multiple values in a Time Cards filter.

  • See which filters support multi-select.

  • Know which filter is still limited to one selection at a time.

Before You Begin

  • This applies to the Time Cards view on web.

  • You must have permission to view Time Cards.

  • Multi-select is not available on every filter yet (see Important Notes).

Select Multiple Values in a Time Cards Filter

Use this method to filter Time Cards by more than one employee, project, or other value at a time.

Steps:

  1. Go to any Time Card report.

  2. Click the filter you want to use, for example Employees, Cost Codes, or Equipment.

  3. Select as many values as you need from the list. Each one you choose will show a visual indicator, and the menu will stay open so you can keep selecting.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the filter and click Close.

  5. Repeat with any other filters.

  6. Scroll to the bottom of the filter and click Apply.

Multi-select is available on:

  • Employees

  • Employee groups

  • Positions

  • Project groups

  • Cost codes

  • Cost code groups

  • Equipment

What Happens After You Select Multiple Filters

  • The Time Cards view updates to show entries matching any of the values you selected.

  • You can combine multiple filters at once, for example two crews and three pieces of equipment.

  • Your selections stay applied until you change or clear them.

Important Notes

  • The Type filter, which separates entries like paid and unpaid time off, does not support multi-select yet. You can still filter by Type, just one value at a time.

  • There is no on-screen instructional text pointing out that multi-select is available. Watch for the visual indicator on a filter once you have made a selection.
