This guide will walk you through everything you need to successfully set up and use the Safety Inspection tools in BusyBusy (web):

Use this guide to help standardize safety processes, improve communication, and keep your crews informed and protected.
Set Inspection Permissions
By default, only admins can perform and manage safety inspections. Permissions can be granted to other positions as needed.
Steps:
Navigate to Settings in the left-hand menu.
Select Positions.
Click on the position you want to update.
Scroll to the Safety section and select Inspections.
Enable the desired permissions:
Perform Inspections – Allows users to complete inspections.
Manage Inspections – Allows users to view, assign, delete inspections, and manage checklists.
Click Submit to save changes.
Repeat for any additional positions.
Access the Inspections Feature
Click Safety in the left-hand menu.
Select Inspections.
On first access, you will be prompted to create or import a checklist.
Create a Custom Inspection Checklist
Custom checklists allow you to tailor inspections to your company’s safety requirements.
Steps:
Click Manage Checklist (or access via the three-dot menu).
Click Create.
Enter a checklist name.
(Optional) Limit visibility to specific employees using Limit Inspectors.
Click Submit.
Add Categories and Questions:
Select your checklist.
Click Add Category and name it.
Click Add Question.
Enter a yes/no question.
(Optional) Add recommendations.
Click Submit.
Edit or Delete:
Use the three-dot menu on categories or questions to edit or delete.
Import an Industry Checklist
You can also import pre-built industry-standard checklists.
Steps:
Click Import.
Select the checklist(s).
Click Import.
Once imported, you can edit categories, questions, and titles as needed.
Assign an Inspection
Steps:
Click Assign Inspection.
Set the inspection date.
Select the Inspector.
Choose the Project.
Add a description (optional).
Select the Checklist.
(Optional) Choose specific categories.
Click Submit.
Set Reminder:
Check Remind and set the time.
Set Notifications:
Check Notification.
Choose recipients.
Select:
Always, or
Low Score (set threshold).
The inspection will appear under the Assigned tab.
Create Repeating Inspections
Automate recurring inspections to ensure consistency.
Steps:
Click the three-dot menu.
Select Repeat Inspections.
Click Create.
Choose frequency:
Weekly
Monthly
Yearly
Complete the remaining fields.
Click Submit.
Edit or Pause:
Click an inspection to edit.
Use Pause to temporarily stop scheduling.
View Submitted Inspections
Managers can review completed inspections for compliance and follow-up.
Steps:
Go to Safety → Inspections.
Click the Completed Inspections tab.
Select an inspection.

Submission date
Inspection score
Project
Checklist used
Inspector
Assigned by
View Details:
Answers to each question
Comments and notes
Severity ratings
