With BusyBusy’s updated equipment feature, you now have complete control over how your equipment is categorized. This article will walk you through the steps to create, edit, and delete equipment categories on both Web and Mobile.
| Only users with Equipment Management Permissions can create, edit, or delete equipment categories. If you don’t see these options, check with your administrator. |
Access Category Management
Navigate to Management Lists from the main menu.
Click on Equipment.
Click the three dots in the upper right corner (next to the printer icon) and select Manage Categories.
Create a New Equipment Category
On the Manage Categories screen, click the Create button in the upper left corner.
Type the Category Name.
(Optional) Choose an icon by selecting from the icon library or uploading your own.
Click Create to save the new category.
Edit an Existing Category
In Manage Categories, find the category you want to edit.
Click on the Category Name to open the edit screen.
Make the necessary changes.
Click Update to save your changes.
Delete a Category
In Manage Categories, find the category you want to delete.
Click the three dots next to the Category Name.
Select Delete.
If items are assigned to this category, you must reassign or delete those items before deleting the category.

Managing Categories While Creating Equipment
When creating new equipment, click on the Manage link next to the Category dropdown.
Follow the steps to Create a New Category, then return to creating your equipment.
Managing Equipment Categories on Mobile (iOS & Android)
Access Category Management
Navigate to Equipment from the main menu.
Tap the three dots in the upper right corner.
Select Manage Categories.
Create a New Equipment Category
Tap the + (plus) button.
Enter the Category Name.
(Optional) Add an icon.
Tap Done (iOS) or Save (Android) to create the category.
Edit an Existing Category
Tap on the Category you want to edit.
Make your changes.
Tap Done (iOS) or Save (Android) to confirm updates.
Delete a Category
Tap on the Category you want to delete.
Select Delete.
Note: If items are assigned to this category, you must reassign or delete those items before deleting the category.
