Overview
With BusyBusy’s updated equipment management system, you now have full control over how your equipment is categorized by managing equipment makes. This guide walks you through how to create, edit, and delete equipment makes on both Web and Mobile.
Who Can Manage Equipment Makes?
Only users with Equipment Management permissions can create, edit, or delete equipment makes. If you don’t see these options, check with your administrator.
Managing Equipment Makes on Web
Access Make Management
Navigate to Equipment from the main menu.
Click on Manage in the upper right corner.
Click the three dots in the upper right corner and select Manage Makes.
Create a New Equipment Make
On the Manage Makes screen, click the Create button in the upper left corner.
Type the make name.
Click Create to save the new make.
Edit an Existing Make
In Manage Makes, find the make you want to edit.
Click on the make name to open the edit screen.
Make the necessary changes.
Click Update to save your changes.
Delete a Make
In Manage Makes, find the make you want to delete.
Click the three dots next to the make name.
Select Delete.
If items are assigned to this make, you must reassign or delete those items before deleting the make.
Managing Makes While Creating Equipment
When creating new equipment, click on the Manage link next to the Make dropdown.
Follow the steps to add a new make, then return to creating your equipment.
Managing Equipment Makes on Mobile (iOS & Android)
Access Make Management
Navigate to Equipment from the main menu.
Tap the three dots in the upper right corner.
Select Manage Makes.
Create a New Equipment Make
Tap the + (plus) button.
Enter the make name.
Tap Save to create the make.
Edit an Existing Make
Tap on the make you want to edit.
Make your changes.
Tap Save to confirm updates.
Delete a Make
Tap on the make you want to delete.
Select Delete.
If items are assigned to this make, you must reassign or delete those items before deleting the make.
Important Notes
Makes can only be deleted if no equipment is assigned to them.
Makes can be managed while creating new equipment, allowing users to add new makes on the fly.
Changes made on Web or Mobile will sync across all platforms.
