This guide walks you through how to use Safety Inspections in the BusyBusy mobile app.

Use this guide to help standardize safety processes, improve communication, and keep your crews informed and protected.

How Safety Incidents Work (Mobile Flow)

  1. Employee reports injury during clock-out

  2. Incident appears in Open tab

  3. Supervisor decides:

    • Report Not Required OR

    • File report

  4. Admin completes review on Web

Employee Experience (No Permissions)

All employees can:

Answer Daily Injury Sign-Off

  • Appears during clock-out (if enabled)

  • Employee indicates if they were injured

  • Adds a description if applicable

What Happens Next

  • This creates an Open Incident

  • Responsibility shifts to a supervisor or admin

Supervisor Incident Experience (Create Incident Reports)

Supervisors can:

  • View open incidents from their crew

  • File incident reports

  • View reports they submitted

Access Safety Incidents

  1. Open Supervisor Tools

  2. Tap More

  3. Tap Safety Incidents

Review Open Incidents

Under the Open tab:

  • See injuries reported by employees

View Details

  • Tap an employee’s name to view their description

Decide: Report or Not Required

Mark “Report Not Required”

  1. Tap the three dots

  2. Select Report Not Required

  3. Enter a reason

File an Incident Report

Tap Report

File an Incident Report (Mobile)

Steps

  1. Under Supervisor Toole Tap Safety Incidents (might be located under the ‘More” button)

  2. Tap the + button

  3. Select employee(s)

  4. Enter:

    • Incident Date/Time/Type

    • OSHA recordable status

    • Project

    • Location

    • Employee start time

  5. Add treatment details

  6. Describe:

    • What led up to the incident

    • What happened

    • Injury/illness details

    • Cause of incident

All required fields must be completed before submission.

  1. Tap Submit

After Submission

  • Report appears under Reported tab

Supervisor Limitations

  • Can only see reports they submitted

  • Cannot edit reports after submission

Manager/Admin Experience (Manage Permission)

Users with Manage Incident Reports can:

On Mobile

  • View incidents

  • File reports

Important Limitation

Full management must be done on Web, including:

  • Editing reports

  • Reviewing reports

  • Completing OSHA incidents

Mobile Limitations

  • Cannot edit reports after submission

  • Cannot review or approve reports

  • Cannot complete OSHA incidents

  • Cannot access full company-wide reporting
