Reset a Budget to Remove All Planned Values (Web)
Sign in to BusyBusy on the web.
From the left navigation menu, select Budgets.
Choose the project with the budget you want to reset.
Select Edit Budget in the top right.
If your budget includes cost codes:
Remove each cost code from the budget.
This clears all cost code–level planned hours, costs, and progress values.
Set all project-level totals to 0, including:
Labor Hours
Labor Costs
Equipment Hours (if enabled)
Equipment Costs (if enabled)
Progress Value (if enabled)
Select Save.
Your project will now appear as if no budget has been created.
What Happens to Actuals When You Reset a Budget
Resetting a budget does not delete actual project data. Your actuals remain visible and continue to update automatically based on:
Employee time cards
Equipment time
Progress entries
Actuals are tied to project activity, not your planned budget values.
When to Reset a Budget
A budget reset is useful when:
You created a budget for the wrong project
You added incorrect cost codes
Your planned values changed significantly
You want to rebuild a budget from scratch
You’re cleaning up test data or training examples.
