General Troubleshooting Steps
Log Out and Log Back In - Many geolocation issues can be resolved by signing out of your BusyBusy account and then signing back in. This refreshes your session and may restore functionality. - For example, if the project geofence address search isn’t working, log out, log back in, and navigate to Management Lists > Projects to retry adding the geofence address. Incremental typing (e.g., entering one character at a time) may also help in some cases. Clear Cached Data in Chrome - Cached site data can interfere with geolocation functionality. Follow these steps to clear cached data for BusyBusy: - Open Chrome and go to: chrome://settings/content/all - Use the search bar to locate data related to BusyBusy. - Click “Clear All Data” or “Delete Displayed Data” to remove only AlignOps-related data. - Log out of your account and log back in. This often restores the ability to adjust GPS settings.
Address and Geofence Issues
Missing Addresses in Dropdowns - If no addresses appear in the dropdown when adding a GPS location to a project, check your user role permissions. Users without admin-level permissions cannot add or edit project addresses. - Contact an account admin to grant you a role that includes permission to manage project geolocation. Once permissions are updated, try adding the address again. Geofence Address Search Not Working - As mentioned earlier, logging out and back in can often resolve this issue. After logging back in, navigate to the specific project and attempt to add the geofence address again. Incremental typing may also help. Manual Address Entry - When adding a geofence address, avoid copying and pasting. Instead, type the full address manually into the geofence address field and select the correct entry from the autocomplete dropdown. Manually typing the address helps trigger the dropdown suggestions. If the dropdown still doesn’t appear, ensure you are using Google Chrome, the recommended browser for AlignOps.
Role and Permission Management
Ensure that your user role includes the necessary permissions to manage geolocation settings. If you’re unable to perform certain actions, such as adding or editing project addresses, consult with an account admin to update your role permissions.
