Use this guide to help standardize safety processes, improve communication, and keep your crews informed and protected by creating, managing, and reviewing Safety Observations on the BusyBusy mobile app.
Set Safety Observation Permissions (Mobile)
Only users with company settings access can do this.
Steps:
Open the left side menu → Tap Settings.
Tap Company → Positions.
Select a position.
Scroll to Manage Safety.
Enable:
Report Observations
Manage Observations
6. Tap Save.
Submit a Safety Observation (Mobile)
Observations can only be submitted via mobile.
Steps:
From the Dashboard (clock-in screen):
Tap Safety
(If not visible, tap ⋯ to find it)
Tap Report Observation
Fill in the details:
Observation Type
Concern or Positive
Anonymous Toggle (optional)
Project
Auto-filled or select manually
Date/Time
Auto-filled (editable)
Description
Type or use voice-to-text
Optional Additions:
Photos (camera or gallery)
Tap + Show Advanced:
Add GPS location
Add specific location details (e.g., “3rd floor”)
Add notes about immediate actions taken
Submit:
Tap Save.
Access Observations (Managers Only) Mobile
Steps:
Open left side menu → Tap Safety
Tap the Observation icon (bottom of screen)
Tabs:
Reported → Open observations
Processed → Completed observations
Process a Safety Observation (Mobile)
Steps:
Tap an observation under the Reported tab.
Review details (photos, GPS, description).
Tap Process Observation.
(Optional but recommended):
Assign Severity.
Select Category.
Add Follow-up Notes.
Tap Save.
Edit a Processed Observation (Mobile)
Steps:
Go to the Processed tab.
Select an observation.
Tap the Pencil icon.
Make updates.
Tap Save.
Manage Observation Categories (Mobile)
Steps:
Go to Safety → Observations.
Tap the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner.
Select Manage Categories.
From here you can:
Create
Tap +
Enter name → Save
Edit
Tap category → update → Save
Delete
Tap category → Delete
