The BusyBusy + Zapier integration allows you to connect BusyBusy with over 8,000 apps—including Slack, Google Sheets, QuickBooks, and Procore—to automate everyday workflows.
Once connected, you can use BusyBusy as a Trigger (to start an automation) or an Action (to perform an automated task in another app).
This article walks you through how to connect your BusyBusy account to Zapier for the first time.
You can now access Zapier directly from within BusyBusy. Go to Settings → Integrations → Additional Automated Solutions to open the embedded Zapier experience and build workflows without leaving BusyBusy. |
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
A BusyBusy Premium plan (or Pro plan with the Zapier Add-On enabled)
Company Admin permissions in BusyBusy
A Zapier account (Free or Paid)
A Zapier subscription is required to build and run automations (Zaps). BusyBusy provides the API connection; Zapier handles automation setup and task management. |
Steps
1. Generate your BusyBusy API Key
Sign in to BusyBusy Web.
Click your profile icon and select Settings.
Navigate to Integration Keys.
Select Add Key.
Enter a name for the key (e.g., Zapier Integration) and click Create.
Copy your API Key — you’ll need it in Zapier.
2. Sign in to Zapier
Go to zapier.com and sign in or create an account.
From the left-hand menu, click My Apps.
Click + Add Connection and search for BusyBusy.
Select BusyBusy from the results.
3. Connect BusyBusy to Zapier
When prompted, a new window will appear asking for your API Key.
Paste the API Key you copied from BusyBusy.
Click Yes, Continue to BusyBusy.
Once connected successfully, your BusyBusy account name will appear in Zapier under Connected Accounts.
4. Test Your Connection
To confirm your connection works:
Create a simple test Zap (e.g., “When a new project is created in BusyBusy → Add row to Google Sheets”).
Run a test to confirm Zapier can access your BusyBusy data.
If the test succeeds, you’re ready to start building automations!
Tips
You only need to connect your BusyBusy account once. Zapier will remember the connection for future Zaps.
If you ever need to revoke access, return to BusyBusy → Settings → Integration Keys and delete the API Key.
For security, only Company Admins should create and manage integration keys.
